The Watko Way – Innovative

Katie Mercurio, Account Manager

I have worked at Watko since 2015. One thing I have learned over the last 7 years is that every client is unique, and therefore so is every solution. The Watko Way is meeting our customers where they are and listening to their objectives before introducing a solution. Providing innovative solutions is something we have put to practice over time through our experience and building positive vendor relationships.

When we are approached by a prospect or client, we listen to their needs in order to determine the most effective way to help them reach their goals with their benefits package. Cost of benefits is often one of their top concerns, and reviewing different funding strategies with unique claims management strategies is typically where we start. We have experience with Community Rated, Fully Insured, Level-Funded, ASO, Specific Stop Loss Only Contract, Benefits Captive, and more.  If we have a customer who has concerns with a cumbersome and expensive administration, we have many different technology solutions that streamline processes and save them money. We have helped other customers with enhancing benefit education throughout the year through a regular and automated communications program. This program provides timely, customized content that reinforces what employees learned during open enrollment. Studies show employees appreciate their benefits more when they understand their value.

Providing innovative solutions in an off-the-shelf industry is important, especially in today’s world. Our role is your benefits partner at work and The Watko Way will produce updated benefits strategies and plans that fit the needs of you and your employees.
