I’ve been in the Employee Benefits space for 40 years and have never witnessed such a shift in employee needs.  The pandemic has caused employers to increase their focus on the health and wellbeing of their employees.

Three considerations employers might make to ensure a healthier and more productive workforce:

  • support physical health
  • promote a flexible work schedule that’s advantageous to the employee and still satisfies the employer’s needs
  • provide enough benefit options to satisfy a diverse workforce.  For example, millennials have much different needs than baby boomers who are still working

The Watko Way is being certain employers are aware of all the options available to help their employees, and then communicating those options in the most efficient manner.
